What Does A White Coating On The Tongue Of An Infant Indicate?
My 2 weeks old son takes baby milk and now has some whitish thing which Ii suspect to be the milk traces on his tongue. Does it have any effect on the him at all? If so how so I clean it up? What should I use to clean it? Someone is suggestion Glycerine, is it advisable to use and hope it does not have any have any side effect in the long run? Thanks
White coating on the tongue of an infant can be probably due to yeast Infection causing Oral Thrush.. As infants have prematurely developed immunity they are more prone to such infections. So my suggestion is to consult a Pedodontist and get evaluated and he can advise Candid mouth paint to be applied over affected parts of tongue and along with it maintain a good oral hygiene..
Hope this helps..
Regards..
