What Does A White Ring Around The Foreskin Indicate?

I have a white ring around my foreskin that appeared a few months ago. My family doc just looked at it last week and didn t seem concerned. Asked if I had been in the sun or tanning beds, told him that we were in Mexico for two weeks in January, and I believed that the suit I have, allows the sun to get through it, as my other areas under it, did tan. Anyway, I am just wondering if I should go see a Uroligist to be safe.

Hi,

White ring over the foreskin may be due to fungal infection as I don't see it as untanned skin as you have mentioned that other areas were tanned. There is nothing to worry about it however to get the diagnosis confirmed you should visit a dermatologist instead of a urologist.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
