What Does A White Spot On A Swollen Tonsil Indicate?
I have a swollen right tonsil with a whitish spot in the middle of it. Funny thing is there is no pain. I ve had post nasal drips for the past 1 month and some allergy symptoms tgt with an itchy throat and blocked nose on and off. I realised it when I ve had the feeling of something stuck at the back of my mouth and looked into the mirror. What can it be?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
White spot may be pus which is coming from tonscillitis crypts or candida infection or tonscillitis stone etc. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. You may be suffering from acute pharygitis with tonscillitis. Avoid cool drinks and freeze water. Use water vapor inhalation and salt water gargling thrice a day for five days. Use tablet Amoxiclav twice a day for five days. If symptoms do not improve, please consult your doctor he will examine and treat you accordingly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
