What Does A Yellow Spot On The Lower Lip Indicate?

I have a small yellow dot on my bottom lip, not anywhere near the outside of my lips. It’s not raised and it doesn’t hurt, tingle or itch but it’s scaring me because I know what a lesion looks like and that’s not it. I’ve never had a cold sore either. I’ve tried to google a million different diagnoses and none of the pictures match mine. Please help, I can send pictures through email if needed.

Hi.

Thanks for the query.

A small yellow spot on the lip that is not painful or itchy seems to be most probably due to hypertrophy of sebaceous gland that is Fordyce's spot.
It is not any pathology or sign of any infection or illness. For a confirmation you should consult an Emergency room and get evaluated so that it can be confirmed that it is fordyce's spot or anything else.
If it is Fordyce's spot then it does not need any treatment, but in case if it is not pleasant with the appearance you can get it removed with lasers. But for a confirmation, first of all a clinical examination should be done to rule out the exact nature of the lump so that what it is exactly should be ruled out.

Hope this helps.
Regards.
