What Does Abdominal Pain Along With Diarrhea Indicate?

I have been experiencing stomach pain for over a week. It feels very uncomfortable. It started with lots of running loose/watery stools. I have been able to poop more in the last couple days but the symptoms are still there. I almost feel better after I eat something. I am 58 years old and a little concerned why I am not getting better.

Hi,

Many causes adds to abdominal pain and diarrhea. Most possible causes are dysentery or diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome or inflammatory bowel problems or food intolerance or malabsorption syndromes or leaking gut syndrome, etcetera.

Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking, and caffeine drinks. Avoid dairy products and gluten containing food. If symptoms do not improve, please consult your doctor who will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
