What Does Abdominal Pain Along With Nausea Indicate?

Just finished 3 month treatment with budesinide 3mg 3xday. Am currently having postprandial stomach pain. Thought I had a virus since it went away after a 4 day bout of pain w/loss of appetite. Pain just returned today. Slight nausea at times. Have a history of h. pylori several years ago. These symptoms are different. At that time I had typical gall bladder pain & it was more severe. Any idea of what this could be?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It looks like you are suffering from side effects of the medication you have taken. Nausea, stomach pain and indigestion are common side effects of Budesonide. Don't worry, please report to your treating doctor so that he can give you an alternative medicine that suits better or may tell you to take a break as the need be after he examines your condition. Avoid all addiction, eat fresh veggies preferably boiled, take fresh berries & fruits, take juice and keep yourself rehydrated. You can take some health tonic(B complex) and Omeprasol twice daily for 5 days to feel better.

Hope I have answered your query.
