What Does Abdominal Pain On The Left Side Indicate?

My name is Danica. I am having lower abdomen pain on my left side. Ive been having this pain for awhile now and it is getting worse. Coughing, sneezing, yelling or exercise makes it worse. Sometimes standing or sitting for long periods of times also doesn t help. I am currently experiencing blood when I have a bowel movement. It is bright red and it isn t in my stool. It doesn t hurt or anything to poop, but i do get constipated and diarrhea more often then i should.

Thanks for asking. I understand your concern. Pain on stressing (coughing and sneezing) changed bowel habits with blood in stool. Indicates some pathology in descending colon (lower part of intestines). It could be chronic amebiasis /diverticulitis/sometimes beginning of malignancy. Instead of getting psychologically stressed & depressed it demands earliest investigation & prompt specific treatment by a gastroenterologists. Take rest. Eat non-irritating, non-spicy food to which you are not allergic to (avoid gluten containing food, dairy products till you find about allergies). Drink clean, warm water & follow expert advise strictly.
