What Does Abn. Lympho/blasts? NRBC? A Typical Lympho? Lymphocytosis Mean?

My 2 year old son was diagnosed with pneumonia and aneamia last week. After an AB course of 10 days, some lab results are better but some are still 'not normal'. At the end of the lab form it says:"abn. lympho/blasts? NRBC? A typical lympho? Lymphocytosis. I asked the doctor about this and she answered me that this was just the computer showing her 'something'... She was rushed in the appointment and had no time to explain to me what it means. I am a bit worried as I do not trust the doctors here (I live in the Middle East)... Google-ing is no use as I am not sure what 'normal' lab results should be and I do not want to worry unnecessary. Please advise...

Hi!
welcome to HCM!
You dont worry and just do another one in a few months,I have seen children with lymphocytosis in viral infection showing abnormal lymphocytes..Atypical lymphocytes are reactive lymphocytes which are lymphocytes that become large as a result of antigen stimulation.Reactive lymphocytes are usually associated with viral illnesses, however, they can also be present as a result of drug reactions.
Take care!
