What Does Abnormal EKG Showing Long QT Revival Mean?
Hi.. I went to the er in ambulance last night had very fast heart beat dizziness and my heart rate was jumping up and down from 145 to 80 in seconds my EKG was abnormal and it said it showed long qt revival .. what does that mean? I took one 30 ml adderral two days before I asked my doctor if it was from the meds he said no.. so idk he just kept telling me I need to see a heart specialist.. even after giving me atavan they had to keep and BC it still wasn t back to normal. Any suggestions?
Welcome to healkthcaremagic.com. First off, do you mean long QT Interval not revival. In long QT interval, it means that there is something that is stopping the conduction of the heart impulse/electrical activity. A lot of times medications can do this especially antibiotics, also heart medications that are used to slow down your heart. Other times your heart develops scar tissue for a number of reasons and the electrical impulse takes a long time to depolarize the heart. A heart specialist will be able to tease out the cause and prescribe the correct therapy. Hope this helps. Good luck
