Hi,

Sometimes a missed period may be due to other reasons besides pregnancy. Many a times, a missed period may be without any significant cause and you may have the period of its own. However, if it does not occur of its own and previously you are having a normal cycle, then a maximum waiting period of 15 days is advised. After this you are advised to have a pregnancy test done and if it is negative, then you are advised to see your doctor for analyzing the other cause and treatment accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
