What Does An Extremely Painful Large Lump On Left Side Of Neck Suggest?

have a question- i have severe pain and large lump on left side of my neck i didnt hurt my self or get injured .it started yesterday. feels hot touch very painful with a bad headache and a little tingling to my face. im not sick/ no cough / this is new i do have some other medical problems like copd asthma and have some disc problems in neck..i also have a family history of dad dying from lung cancer and his arteries in the neck being 90% &100% blocked..could i get a blood clot in the neck? what are the signs or symptons of one

yes it can be some sort of infected lump or burst vessels leading to hematomas But in any case you muST go to doctor as through neck important structures enter the brain and therefore please be careful.
also sometimes lymph nodes can swell
up and cause you further symptoms of tingling that are suggestive of compression. These can get infected too.
now to understand what it is you might be asked to give blood for testing and antibiotics if its infected. and if its any vessel bursting that has caused you this. it will take no time for you to feel very sick and that may require surgical intervention
