What Does An Itchy Insect Bite On The Arm Indicate?

i woke up this morning with what looked like some kind of bite on my arm it was a little itchy about an hour ago it had a small white head on it I did squeeze it and a short time latter I see a red line going down my arm I am feeling fine otherwise....is it anything to be concerned about
