What Does An Itchy Rash In The Flank Area Indicate?
I have an itchy rash, primarily concentrated on my flanks and midsection, that has persisted for four days. Thoughts? Best way to reduce the itching? Topical OTC ointments and sprays have not offered relief, nor has Allegra. I have not been exposed to any noxious weeds.
Need not to worry. Apply ice pack to reduce redness and itchiness. Maintain good personal hygiene. You should avoid silky clothes as it leads to more heat generation. Use a powder to avoid sweat collection and apply calamine lotion at the sites of the lesion. Avoid excessive walk. If condition doesn't get well then consult dermatologist for proper examination. Doctor may prescribe antibiotics like Clindamycin, oral antifungal or antibacterial depending upon the diagnosis.
