Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have noticed today on my knee (had surgery a month ago and am receiving cartilage shots in that same knee). I have a little circle that appeared which looks like it has pus underneath in the middle. It hurt/itches. I am worried about it being a staph infection.
The presence of pus indicates a bacterial infection. I suggest to clean the area with hydrogen peroxide. I also suggest to cover it with Neosporin cream and a clean bandage. If the rash continue you should consult your doctor for a physical examination.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards, Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
