What Does An Itchy Red Rash On The Stomach Indicate?

Hello Female... Earlier today I discovered a raised red rash only under my underwear. It s only on my stomach and stops when it gets to my sides. It s not on my behind or anywhere else my underwear touched. It s above my pubic hair line. It s not that itchy but a little itchy. It is nowhere else on my body.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I understand your concern.

It could be of great help if you could send a photo of the raised red rash under you underwear, on your stomach.

If your underwear was so tight, that could be the cause.

Or it might be an allergy rash to any insect bite.
If no bite site, it could be due to skin infection (most probably fungal).
The photo will help give a more precise answer.

For the moment, I advise to:
- wear loose underwear, should be cotton fabric
- apply hydrocortisone cream locally
- take Benadryl orally

If no improvement, dermatologist to consult further.

Wish fast recovery.
