What Does An Itchy Spot On The Forearm Indicate?

I RECENTLY DEVEOLPED A RED CIRCULAR SPOT ON INNER FOREARM THAT IS VERY ITCHY AT TIMES IT FORMED SCABS i WENT TO DERMATOLOGIST WHO THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE CONTACT DERMATITIS AND PRESCRIBED MUPIRICIN OINT 2-3 TIMES PER DAY AND FOLLOW UP 1 WEEK. AFTER 4 DAYS STILL RED CIRCLE W/SCABS GONE BUT TINY WHITE BUMPS THAT LOOK LIKE PIPPLES IN CENTER OF RED CIRCLE. WHEN I PRESS ON IT THE REDNESS DISAPPEARS AND WHEN i LET GO IT REAPPEARS..NOT SURE IF THIS IS CONTACT DERMATITIS OR SOMETHING ELSE. i THOUGTH THIS MIGHT OF BEEN CASUED WHEN i ACCIDENTOY BURNED MY ARM ON STOVE TOP. DOESNTSEEM TO BE HEALING LIKE A BURN WOULD THOUGH..ANY THOUGHTS ON WHAT ELSE THIS MIGHT BE?

I have gone through your query. If you send a picture of the rash then it will be more helpful. It can be eczema or fungal infection. Applying ointments containing antifungal agents like terbinafine and corticosteroids like clobetasol will be helpful.
