What Does An Un-obstructive Bowel Gas Pattern Mean In An Abdominal X-ray Report?
Please explain. A unobstructive bowel gas pattern is noted. Separate small calcific densities within lwft hemipelvis appet stable. Serpiginous density projecting over lower midplevis appears to represent suture. The osseous structure appear grossly intact??
The unobstructed bowel gas pattern may be of various clinical significance and has to be co related with underlying symptoms. The consistent calcific densities indicate underlying phlebolith and it has not clinical importance. The serpiginous density over mid pelvis can be disturbing the progress of gas and lumen content passage to lower part of sigmoid colon or rectum.
There can be adynamic or non obstructive ileus pattern from electrolyte imbalance or else which has to be evaluated in greater depth. Still if you can share symptoms in details with X-ray plate can be of great importance ahead to discuss thoroughly.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
