Hi,

Noted your history of ECG done a week ago stating as anteroseptal infarct - age undetermined, not heard from your Doctor yet, have surgery next week, wants to know how serious is this?
Surely this is very serious.
You should go to ER and have urgent review ECG, Echocardiography and further evaluation with investigations to determine the nature and extent of cardiac damage, present status and have further management as per the findings, your clinical presentation.
You have not mentioned which surgery is to be done. If the surgery is planned and not related to your heart, it should be postponed. To be done only after cardiac fitness for surgery and anaesthesia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. T. Chandrakant, General Surgeon
