What Does Atheromatous Aorta And Thoracic Spine Indicate?
Thin Linear density is seen in the right mid to upper outer lung zone. the rest of the lung fields are clear. heart is not enlarged. the aorta is tortous and segmentally calcified. diaphtagm and sulci are intact. there is slight devatiation of the thoraicic spine to the right. IMPRESSION: subsegmental atelectasis versus parenchymal fibrosis, right atheromatous aorta Dextroscoliosis, Thoracic Spine. What does it mean? The doctor did not discuss the result. please I need to know the interpretation of the result. Thank you very much.
You have a lung fibrosis which indicates there is reduction in lung space as normal lung parenchyma is replaced by fibrous tissue and your spine is deviated towards one side. If you smoke, you should leave it and discuss with your doctor regarding exercises for the spine.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
