What Does Bad Cramps And Leg Pain Mean After Staring Birth Control?

Hey so lately i started the birth control about a month ago, and lately or after my period i started to get bad cramps and my legs are constantly hurting. I have 4 pills left till i start a new pack and i have brown blood popping up but only when i wipe? what could this mean?

Hello,

Birth control pills can cause deep vein thrombosis and thus can cause calf pain. As of now you can consult a GP and get a venous Doppler to rule out DVT. Once the DVT is ruled out the pain the pain may be due to other causes. You can take analgesics like Ibuprofen or Diclofenac for pain.
