Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
As per the thyroid values what you have shared,
1. Free T3 (FT3) is 2.16, which should be 2.3- 4.2 pg/mL and hence it is decreased.
2. Free T4 (FT4) is 0.92, which should be 0.8 - 1.8 ng/dL and hence it is towards lower limit of normal.
3. TSH is 3.51, which should be 0.5 - 4.70 µIU/mL and hence it is normal but showing towards upper limit.
By these values, it says that you are beginning to go in for hypothyroidism and hence what the doctor has suggested medications is al-right.
You need to take it regularly with out any break and get the hormones evaluated periodically (once in 3 months). The dose may be adjusted accordingly during follow-up.
Avoid consuming goitrogenic vegetables like cauliflower, radish and turnips. Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
