What Does Black Mole On Cervix In A Smear Test Indicate?

I went for my smear test today and the Nurse told me I have a black mole on my cervix. She said she may or may not need to see me again depending on what the result is. In the meantime I d like to know what this black mole on my cervix could be. Thanks.
