Hi,
I've gone through your query and I understand quite well your concern
I think that your child has developed a pediatric mole. Most people have some benign
moles that appear at birth, childhood, or adolescence.
Moles are developed from pigment-producing cells in the skin called melanocytes.
Benign moles, which can appear anywhere on the body, are usually:dark- brown to black, oval, one colour, flat and smooth ones and may become raised or rough.
I don't believe it's a
melanoma, because it takes years to develop, so that wouldn't be the cause.
Although, I suggest you to be careful and to pay attention to the mole if it
sudden change in size, color, shape, texture, irregular edges,a mixture of color, abnormal surface : flaking, bleeding , scaling etc. and it becomes itchy or painful. Once you see these changes, please tell to a dermatologist!!
I also suggest you to get your baby checked out to a dermatologist. Don't let your baby tan yet,use the highest spf baby sunblocks any time there will be sun exposure.
Good luck, I hope it turns out to be nothing!
