What Does Blood And Protein In Urine Indicate?

Since June of 2015 I have had 6 urine tests. 4 of the 6 indicated that I have a trace evidence of blood. As well, one showed a trace of protein. My urologist wants to do a cystoscopy. My concern is that trace is a vague term and I am concerned that this indication may be within normal bounds. What are the gradations in the tests for blood in urine test? Regarding my medical history, I have had a radical prostectomy in 2002. My most recent PSA reading is .07.

Hi,

Usually, in the urine, there is little protein present.

RBC also present in case of in stones or kidney problems etc.

So please consult your urologist/nephrologist, they will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
