What Does Blood In Stool Indicate?

Today when I went to the bathroom for my daily BM I noticed there was blood on the tissue when I wiped. Then after looking at it in the toilet I saw that it ran through all the pieces of the stooles. I don t believe this to be normal cause it has never happened prior to this time what do you think it may or may not be. I did take a sample out of the toilet and send it off to the VA hospital. Please advise, thank you for your time and consideration. Robert I understand from your response that it can not be all that serious and can wait until I have my annual check-up in six months so once again the dollar is much more important than helping someone in need!

Hello,

I have gone through your question, I understand your concerns, but this could be as simple as injury to mucus membrane due to hard stools or could be as serious as rectal tumor.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
