What Does Blood In Urine Indicate?

Hi Doctor We are newly married and having sex every night and enjoyed it.This month we expected positive result..but now my wife found a drop of blood in urine...is that her period...we are worried tat she is not pregnant now.Also. how to find what is her fertile period to.have sex. Thanks Ravi

Hello,

The presence of blood in the urine does not rule out pregnancy. If she had a delayed period, she should have a pregnancy test to make sure if she is pregnant or not.
As for the fertile period, this depends on the length of her menstrual cycle. If she gets periods regularly every certain number of days (most women do so every 28 days) then the most fertile days are: the length of the menstrual cycle -14 +/- 3 days. For instance, if she gets the periods every 30 days, the most fertile days are 30+14 +/-3 days= 16+/-3 days= 13 days till 19 days after the first day of her menstrual period.
This does not apply if she has irregular periods.
