Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 54 year old female who has been having intermittent blood in my urine, I also have a very heavy feeling in my genitalia area. I do not have pain, only discomfort. My doctor did a urine test and it is not a UTI. He has ordered a CAT scan. I m assuming he must suspect a tumor?
Hello dear I understand your concern Following are the cause of blood in urine: inflammation in kidney or bladder, stone in urinary tract and tumor/cancer in the urinary tract. I advise you consult the urologist and get the CT scan done to confirm above causes. Treatment will depend on the cause. Tablet pyridium for discomfort Drink plenty of water and take healthy diet. Hope this may help you
Contact HCM for further health query Best regards Dr. Sagar
