Hello,
I passed carefully through your question and would explain that these blood pressure values are high, but a single
high blood pressure value is not an indicator or chronic arterial
hypertension.
It could be related to psychological stress or physical activity.
For this reason, I would recommend you to closely monitor your blood pressure values frequently during the day, in the next days, in sitting position, after 10 minutes of total relax.
If your blood pressure values are above the normal ranges (125/85 mmHg), I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests to investigate the possible underlying causes:
- a chest X-ray study
-
complete blood count, PCR, ESR
- thyroid hormone levels for thyroid gland dysfunction
- blood electrolytes
- fasting glucose
- kidney and liver function tests
-
cortisol and
aldosterone plasma levels for possible adrenal gland dysfunction.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Ilir Sharka,
