What Does Blood Sugar Level Of 227,142,237 And 149 Suggest?

My husband is 45 years old, 5'10" and is on blood pressure meds.He works two jobs, truck driver & banquet mangaer. He has been ill all day and has had is blood sugar level tested several times today. Is first reading was 227, and has ranged from 142, 237, to 149. Can you tell me if he needs to be checked by his regular physician or go to an urgent care facility before Monday?

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The blood sugar levels usually vary during the day. The sugar levels are immediately after food and gradually reduces. The sugar levels you have mentioned are slightly higher to normal. So he may need a slight rise in dosage.

Its not an emergency, you can just consult his regular physician.

Hello,
These levels don't suggest any urgency and you do you can wait for another couple of days.
Till then take plenty of fluids,avoid sugar,sweets and carbonated drinks.
