What Does Brown Discoloration On The Bridge Of The Nose Indicate?

Yes, My son 47 has skin turning dark brown or blackish on the bridge of his nose and under his eyes. he has also got large, bags under his eyes. This started about 3 weeks ago when he first notice a rash on his cheek. He has seen a dermatoroglist and told to use althlets foot cream on the rash, he was also given Terbinafine tablets 200 mg. but after one week of trying these things its only getting worst. Any sugestions? Thanks Deb

It could be an amelanotic patch.

As a first line management, you can apply low potency steroid creams like Betamethasone for symptomatic relief. If the lesion persists, it is better to consult a dermatologist and get evaluated.
