I m 62 yrs old. I have been wearing a panty liner for those times of sneezing etc to stay dry. I notice at the end of the day there is a ight brown staining on the liner. Nothing shows up on the toilet paper used to wipe. What is causing this and should I be alarmed?
Hello, Thanks for sharing your health concern with us. If you are experiencing some dribbling on exertion during the day, drying of the discharge may be the cause of this discoloration of the panty liner. However, I would ask you to go for a proper gynecological evaluation, a pap smear etc. to exclude any abnormal pathology. If you are having regular follow up which is clean, then the discoloration is mostly due to the urine deposits. Urinalysis will help. Maintain proper genital hygiene. Please get proper bladder training and pelvic floor strengthening exercises. Hope this helps.
