What Does Brown Spotting 1.5 Wks After Periods Indicate In A Person On One Hormone Pill?

Hi, I am on the one hormone pill and had my period aprox. 1.5 weeks ago and woke up today with brown spotting. Could this be STD? Is this common? 3 pregnancy tests have confirmed a negative result. I have no obvious signs of an STD other than flu like symptoms but those are/were common with me before I was sexually active. The brown discharge is almost like a 'poo brown' colour. I have been taking the pill for about 5 weeks now

Hi
In the beginning of your hormonal therapy irregularities in menstrual cycle is common. You don need to worry about that. But if you had any unprotected intercourse then you have to rule out an STD. If there is any smelly discharge you can suspect a STD.But it can be present in some women with starting of hormonal preparation also.If you have any continuos discomfort then undergo an ultrasound examination to find out the status of uterus.Hope this may help you.
thanks
