What Does Brown Vaginal Spotting Between Periods Indicate?

I need advice: I experienced very mild spotting (brown discharge) only when wiping mid-cycle. I doubt very much that it would be ovulation bleeding since nothing like that happened to me before. I took levonogestrel after condom failure within 8 hours around the time my normal period was due. The period came as planned, which happened to be within 24 hours of taking emergency contraception. When I was forced to take emergency contraception before, when I was around mid cycle my period usually came a week after that and my internal cycle reset itself to that. Now, I am noticing this mild spotting and am very anxious. Logic tells me it is likely that this is an anomaly due to emergency contraception, however I suffer from severe generalised anxiety and panic disorders. I would like to take a home pregnancy test ASAP to find relief, however this is the middle of my cycle and I don t know how likely or unlikely a potential pregnancy is. Please help me.
