What Does Brownish Discharge Followed By Short And Dark Periods, Fatigue, Mood Swings After Having Unprotected Sex Indicate?

I had unprotected sex on december 9, 2013. Exactly two weeks later i had a brownish discharge and myperiod was very dark and lasted 3 days. I usually go heavy for 5 days with of course the color beng blood red. Today is January 12, 2014. I have been very moody, emotional, had an increase in fatigue, and my stomach feels weird. Can you please get back to me as soon as possible? Thank you.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

I would like to start by asking if you are on any medication or if you took any form of contraception to avoid conception after your unprotected sexual contact. If so, this is the cause.

If not, then a speculum examination along with an ultrasound will have to be conducted to look for:
-Abnormalities of the inner lining of the uterus
-Abnormalities of the uterus

Please do report to your doctor for the same at the earliest. Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
