Hello ma'am and welcome.

A bulky placenta means it has swollen up or enlarged due to some reason. Infarction means it is not receiving enough blood due to either obstruction or occlusion of one or more blood vessels that supply it. This could result in a threatened pregnancy and if not treated even fetal death. Depending on the cause the option for now could be the introduction of blood thinning medication.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
