What Does Burning Sensation During Urination Indicate?

on 9/21/17 had a resection of prostate. Been having a burning sensation when I urinate for the past two weeks and tonight I m having a hard time urinating. My urologist call in a prescription for an antibiotic today. What can I do to get through the night?
