What Does Burning Sensation In The Toes Indicate?

Hi. Recently my toes seem to burn. Only way i can describe it and seems to happen when i use too much sugar. Recent blood test shows my blood sugars are fine. My only prescription med is amlodipine besylate. Thought i was becoming diabetic, but not from results of test.
