What Does Burning Sensation On The Face Indicate?

female, 58 y old with burning sensation on half of face, skin only. Started hours ago, has gotten worse. No change of vision, speech, sensation or strength only the burning sensation on left side of face. medical history includes severe migraines, severe GERD and joint pain possible arthritis. No redness or inflammation, no allergies to food or medicine, no sunburn, no change of cosmetics, etc.

Hello,

Maybe, you have Trigeminal neuralgia. Usually, in the face, the trigeminal nerve is the dominant most and if irritated can produce these kinds of feeling. You can be prescribed Carbamazepine drug for that.

But you need the first talk to the neurologist and first get a physical examination done to confirm the diagnosis. And then you can go about treating it. With online consultation and without examination, I cannot prescribe you anything.
