What Does Calcified Focus In Lumbar Region At L4 Vertebra Level Mean?
My age is 46, wt 100 kg and I had earlier been diagnosed as Type2 diabetic.please explain what a calcified focus in the right lumbar region at the level of L4 vertebra means? Also superior and inferior osteophytes are seen in visualised vertebrae, what do they signify? My age is 46, wt 100 kg and I had earlier been diagnosed as Type2 diabetic.
Thanks for your question on HCM. In my opinion you need to loose some weight. Osteophytes are bony out growth. And can be due to osteoporosis. And obesity is one of the reason for osteoporosis. And calcified foci is old healed lesion. May be past trauma or infection. But at present you should decrease the weight and start physiotherapy.
