What Does Cervical MRI Scan Findings Below Indicate?
Cervical MRI of a middle aged man s/p fall with the below findings. His complaints now (after 6 months post fall): headache and dizziness; C3-C4, there is a 3 mm broad-based disc bulge causing no significant neural foraminal narrowing or canal stenosis. This has effaced the anterior CSF space. (no other (+) findings. what may be the indication of such findings and or your direction of treatment?
Hello, Wellcome to MHC There is CSF fluid effacement due to C3-4 vertebral level due to disc bulge and this is the cause for headache and dizziness. When disc bulge occurs it may cause compression of surrounding nerve roots and also can compress the anterior spinal cord. The simplest treatment for the same is physiotherapy and a few medications for pain relief. If it doesn't work then discectomy may need to undergo. The orthopaedic specialist will tell you in detained about the treatment plan.
