What Does Cervical Hyperplasia In The Below Ultrasound Report Suggest?
Hello Doctor,My mother, Aged 48 have suggested ultrasound test after a emergency BP low & more weakness problem after that we get in reports Sonilogical finding are consistant with bulky anteverted uterus with cervical hyperplasia. Marke Probe tedernes in epi-gastric area is S/O acid peptic desease Kindly explain the diagnosis..??Do the needful,Regards,Shafi..
Anteverted refers to the position of the uterus in the pelvis, this position is not abnormal. Cervical hyperplasia- hyperplasia usually refers to increased number but this change is unusual in the cervix. Dysplasia which means a change in the cervix cells from the normal appearance is more common. This is normally seen on pap smear.
It also suggested possible disease of the stomach due to acid reflux. Reflux can cause inflammation or injury to the stomach lining. This is the acid peptic disease that was referred to in the report.
I hope this helps
