What Does Cervical Inflammation In Pap Smear Suggest?

im 28 yrs old.my pap smear has shown cervical inflammation.iwhat does it mean dr.can i take cervical cancer vaccination now? i had a delivery in 2009 n had an abortion 6 months back and now im getting spotting during ovulation time from past 3 months.what coulb be the reason for this spotting.i want to plan for 2nd kid in a year.

I understand your concern.Inflammation of the cervix is called cervicitis.Acute cervicitis involves a sudden onset of symptoms. Chronic cervicitis lasts for several months.Acute cervicitis is typically caused by a sexually transmitted infection, such as herpes, chlamydia,trichomoniasis,human papillomavirus (HPV) and gonorrhoea.
Commonly used treatments include antibiotics to kill any infections as vaginal tablet and oral medication depending on medication. Spotting for 1 day during ovulation is normal. You can take HPV vaccine in dosage of 0,2,6. Better avoid pregnancy during this time as there is study done in pregnancy.. Hope i have your queries.., Good day.
