What Does Chest Pain On The Left Side Indicate?

I have had chest pain on the left side as well as left arm pain and it burned and was uncomfortable. Well my first episode happened when I was 15. Then a few years later I was about 18 when I had another one and then 20 with another episode. Then I got pregnant at 22 and they became more frequent but were months apart? I take tylenol and the pain goes away. My doctor said that he thinks it s just heart burn or acid reflux and that my blood pressure and all that is fine and so is my heart rate. So could I have a heart problem if Tylenol takes all the pain away??

Hi,

Heart pain is due to stress/less blood supply causing load on the heart... it does not simulate with muscular or inflammatory pain & so is not relieved with pain medications like Tylenol.

So with normal blood pressure & heart functions, & pain relief with Tylenol ... the pain does not seem to be cardiac in origin.
