General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

You have stopped antibiotics earlier or you did not complete the whole antibiotic treatment regime. This has caused your infection to return, resulting in bronchitis and bronchiolitis (inflammation of small airways), swelling, difficulty in breathing and pain, cough and phlegm.

My advice is to restart the antibiotic cure and to complete it as per doctor’s advice.

Furthermore, you need a spirometry examination, for assessing lung function. Probably, you will need to take Ventolin or other bronchodilators to open airways and ease breathing and other symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ervin Toçi
