What Does Chunk Of White Skin Hanging From Tonsils Indicate?

hi there. I just noticed a chunk of white skin hanging from my tonsils. It is causing coughing and a bit of breathing difficulties. I recently had my wisdom tooth removed. Unsure whether this is as a result. When i cough i can feel the skin touching my tongue.
Is this serious or what might it be?

Thanks for your query. I have gone through your query.
The white or black stuff on the tonsil can be because of the candidiasis or a pseudomembrane secondary to burn. Nothing to worry. Consult an ENT surgeon and get it evaluated. If it is a candidal infection you can take topical antifungal agents like clotrimazole or nystatin. If it is because of the burn, it will heal by its own. Do warm saline gargling.
