Hello,

It can be a hormonal change. However, here are some of the reasons.
* Normal discharge: Some women experience a small amount of brownish or reddish discharge in the days following their period. This is usually just residual blood and is nothing to worry about.
* Hormonal changes: Fluctuations in hormones can cause changes in the menstrual cycle and discharge. For example, if you have recently started or stopped using hormonal birth control, it can cause changes in your cycle and discharge.
* Infection: Certain infections, such as bacterial vaginosis or a yeast infection, can cause changes in vaginal discharge. If you have other symptoms such as itching, burning, or foul-smelling discharge, it's important to see a doctor for evaluation and treatment.
* Uterine or cervical issues: In some cases, clotty blood discharge after a period could be a sign of a uterine or cervical issue, such as fibroids or polyps. It's important to see a doctor for evaluation if you are experiencing persistent or heavy clotty discharge.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Hello,

Blood discharge with clots after periods can be due to endometrial hyperplasia, some polyp or fibroid. I suggest you to consult a gynecologist for clinical assessment, relevant investigations like - pelvic ultrasound to know the cause of these symptoms and thus management.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
