What Does Crunching Sound In The Knees Indicate?

i was walking and mis stepped - did not fall or twist anything but this occurred about 1 week ago since then each time I flex my knee it sounds like rice krispies crunching in there. After being on it all day I find myself limping until its elevated then it simmers back down. any suggestions?

Yes, you have a meniscal tear in the knee. The typical description you are giving after a trivial trauma is all enough to diagnose. But for confirmation kindly get an MRI done. If the tear is confirmed, then you need to fix it with any Orthopaedician in your locality. They can give you some option for treatment like medical or arthroscopic tear repair.
