What Does Culture Report Result - PUS Cells Present 1-3 / Hpf Indicate?
Dear Doctor, My father was operated for prostate enlargement in March,2010 but still he is having burning sensation or pain during urination only. Last, we visited our doctor in october,2010 but he said it would take time to heal. Now, we have done routine urine test and urine culture. Culture report has to come but routine urine report says PUS cells present 1-3 / hpf and Red cells ( RBC ) 0-1. Other things are in range..Is this a cause of worry.. Kindly guide me..We are also planning to visit the urologist who operated this operation. Thanks..My father's age is 67 Years.
Hi, dear. I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. Your urine analysis report suggest 2 to 3 pus cells and rbc . That is normal finding. These cells are present in normal individual. So its totally normal. No need to worry. just be relaxed. Your report is normal. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
