What Does Dark Bowel Movement While Suffering From Breast Cancer Indicate?

My question is regarding symptoms of colon cancer. I have had breast cancer and have now begun to have changes in my bowel movements. They are almost always small pellet movements, dark brown in color. I had a colonoscopy about two years ago and was fine. The breast cancer was 2014 and treatment seems to be proceeding well.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Colon cancer takes years to develop, this is the reason screening is done every 5 to 10 years depending on the level of risk.

Since you had colonoscopy 2 years ago, you should still be okay in that aspect but if you remain unsure, you should be assessed.

I hope this helps.
