What Does Dark Brownish Vaginal Discharge After Surgical Abortion Suggest?

I had an abortion 2 months ago it was my second surgical abortion. I am find these clumps of dark brownish/black discharge, I ve already had a regular period after the 3rd day of my abortion for 1 week I ve been experiencing this discharge, i wanted to know if this is serious or not because I ve heard abortions can lead to cervical and other various forms of cancer which one of the symptoms are dark brown discharge. Is it true, what should I do and how long should I wait to see a specialist! Suggestions please.

I understand your concern.
Brown vaginal discharge is experienced by few women after undergoing abortion. It may continue for about 6 to 8 weeks following abortion. It takes certain period of time for uterine cavity to restore its functions to normal.
Hence you need not panic about other things like cervical cancer or other forms of cancer at this stage.
However, if it continues for long, you need to consult Gynecologist. The doctor would do a clinical and per speculum examination to know what could be the cause. An ultrasound of abdomen and pelvis could be advised to confirm the cause suspected. Proper treatment could be instituted after complete evaluation.
